DEFINITION
The SMD assembly
With SMD assembly (SMD: surface-mounted device), unlike with THT assembly, the connection legs of the components are not guided through mounting holes, but are mounted directly on the PCB surface on so-called connection pads (surface mounting technology). This method is therefore more space-saving than conventional assembly, as the components can be placed in the same position on both the top and bottom of the board.

1. APPLY SOLDER PASTE
Based on your Gerber data, we can quickly and easily provide you with the right stencil for applying the solder paste to your printed circuit board (PCB). Hierbei wird die Paste mit Hilfe eines Rakels gleichmäßig verteilt. For future projects, we can also store this template for you in-house after the order has been completed.
We also ensure compliance with all RoHS directives (Restriction of Hazardous Substances 2011/65/EU).
2. COUNTING
We use modern placement machines to manufacture your prototypes as well as small and very small series. Our focus is always on quality and the fulfillment of individual customer wishes.
Thanks to modern dispensers and semi-automatic machines, we can also offer you high-quality, fast and flexible manual assembly of your PCBs. 3. REFLOW SOLDERING & QUALITY CHECK

Your PCBs are then soldered in our reflow oven. The assembled circuit board is gently heated to the required temperature, allowing the flux to evaporate and the solder to melt. All components are soldered precisely thanks to the even heating of the circuit board and components.
On request, we can then clean your circuit boards using modern methods to remove flux residues. As well as measuring the circuit boards according to your specified test protocols.
Finally, a 100% visual inspection is carried out on each circuit board.
Our typical batch sizes are between one and 200 pieces.
Even the most diverse types of PCBs such as multilayer, flex and rigid-flex and flexstrip are no problem for us.
